Important legal information regarding Gulliver, its usage, and limitations.
1 Disclaimer
Gulliver is an independent software tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. iOS is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.
Gulliver relies on Apple's Developer Tools Infrastructure (DVT) protocol to function. This protocol is intended for legitimate app development and testing purposes. Apple may remove, restrict, or modify access to the DVT protocol in future iOS updates, which could render Gulliver partially or fully inoperative.
No guarantee of continued functionality is provided. Gulliver is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
Users are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and Apple's terms of service in their jurisdiction. Gulliver is intended for development, testing, and educational purposes only.
2 Terms of Use
By downloading or using Gulliver, you agree to:
- Use Gulliver only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.
- Not use Gulliver to circumvent geographical restrictions, commit fraud, or engage in illegal activity.
- Acknowledge that GPS spoofing may violate the terms of service of certain applications and services.
- Accept that the software is provided without any warranty.
- Not redistribute, resell, or sublicense Gulliver without explicit written permission.
3 Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what data Gulliver collects, why, and how it is handled. Gulliver is committed to GDPR compliance and data minimization.
3.1 — Data Controller
Gulliver is developed and operated as an independent project. For privacy inquiries, contact info@gulliverapp.top.
3.2 — What Data Is Collected and Why
Gulliver collects only the minimum data required for functionality. Nothing is collected for advertising, profiling, or resale.
Authentication & Account Data — When you create an account or sign in, your email address and an authentication credential (hashed password or OAuth token from Google/Apple) are stored by our authentication provider (Supabase). This is necessary for the performance of the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): providing access to your trial and subscription.
Device Identification — A one-way anonymous identifier is derived from your device and transmitted to our license server to validate trial eligibility and enforce the free trial limit (one trial per device). No raw hardware identifiers leave your device. This processing is based on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): protecting the trial system from abuse.
Usage Counter — A simple counter of location changes is incremented server-side to track trial usage (10 free changes). The spoofed location coordinates themselves are never transmitted to our servers.
Payment Data — Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. Gulliver never receives or stores your credit card number, CVC, or bank details. Stripe receives the information you provide during checkout and processes it under its own privacy policy. Gulliver only receives a subscription status confirmation (active/inactive, renewal date).
Map & Geocoding — When you search for an address, the search query is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim geocoding service (operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation). Map tiles are loaded from tile.openstreetmap.org. Your IP address is visible to these services as with any web request. On first launch, a single IP geolocation request to ipapi.co or ipinfo.io determines the initial map center. These services are subject to their respective privacy policies.
3.3 — What Stays on Your Device
The following data is stored exclusively locally and never transmitted:
- Location history (coordinates you have spoofed)
- Language and theme preferences
- Application log files (sanitized — passwords, tokens, and UDIDs are redacted)
3.4 — Data Retention
- Account data: Retained until you request deletion. Contact info@gulliverapp.top.
- Device identifier: Retained for trial enforcement. Automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity.
- Trial usage counter: Retained for trial enforcement. Deleted with account.
- Local data (history, preferences, logs): Stored only on your device. You can clear them anytime from the app Settings. Logs rotate automatically (1 MB limit, 5 backups).
3.5 — Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification — Correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Complaint — Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

3.6 — Local Storage
The Gulliver desktop application uses localStorage to persist your preferences (language, theme) and authentication session. These are technically necessary for the app to function and do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive. The Gulliver website uses localStorage only for theme and language preferences. No third-party cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies are used on either the app or the website.
3.7 — Third-Party Processors

3.8 — Legal Basis Summary
- Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): Email, password/OAuth for account creation and authentication; payment processing for subscriptions.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Device identifier for trial abuse prevention; usage counter for trial enforcement.
- User-controlled: Map searches, IP geolocation (triggered by your use of the map/search features).
4 Licensing & Pricing
Gulliver is distributed under a commercial license:
- Premium tier: $5 USD/month for unlimited location changes.
- Trial: 10 location changes for evaluation before subscribing.
Subscriptions are billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time.
5 Third Party Software
Gulliver uses the following third-party components:
- pymobiledevice3 — Python library for communicating with iOS devices. Licensed under GNU GPL v3.
- Apple Developer Tools Infrastructure (DVT) — Part of Xcode, used under Apple's developer terms.
